    We advise not to work above the recommended temperatures. This wax likes it low and slow (temperature and pour). Allow candles to cure for two weeks for optimal fragrance throw.

The post Paraffin Wax Fully Refined (58-60) first appeared on Valley Blossoms.]]> Paraffin Wax is a solid substance derived from either one of Petroleum, Coal, or Shale. It consists of a mixture of Hydrocarbon molecules with anywhere between twenty and forty Carbon atoms. It has a very unreactive nature. Fully Refined Paraffin Wax contains less than ≤0.8% Oil and is made free of impurities and discolouration by hydro-treating or clay-treating them. As the refined grade of Paraffin Wax goes down, the Oil content increases up to 1.5%. Fully Refined Paraffin Wax is free of water and odour and is deemed a food grade substance. It has a clearly defined crystal structure and is hard and brittle in appearance. It has good physical stability and cannot be deformed easily.

Usage:
Three major industries that use Fully Refined Paraffin Wax are the Cosmetics, Medical, and Food Industries. The Candle Making Industry also uses Fully Refined Paraffin Wax. Common items manufactured that use Paraffin Wax are Lipsticks, Cream, Oily Papers, and Chocolate.

Candles made using Fully Refined Paraffin Wax are of the highest grade and are the most expensive.

Directions:
Directions for use depend on application. Do not use it at full strength. Always add Sodium Hydroxide to water. Use chemically resistant containers and tools. DO NOT ADD WATER TO SODIUM HYDROXIDE AS IT CAN CAUSE A VOLCANO EFFECT.

DANGER: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. KEEP AWAY FROM PETS. AVOID CONTACT WITH SKIN, EYES, MUCOUS MEMBRANES, AND CLOTHING. WEAR RUBBER GLOVES WHEN USING THIS PRODUCT.

WARNING: Harmful if inhaled or ingested. Eye and skin irritant. Wear gloves. Lye will burn skin on contact. Use in ventilated areas. Dust may harm lungs if inhaled. If eye or skin contact occurs, flush with water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention.

FIRST AID: EXTERNAL: Flood with water then wash with vinegar. INTERNAL: Drink large quantities of water. Follow with citrus juice, if available. Do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately. EYES: Flush with water for 15 minutes. Get prompt medical attention.
