Our 20% GLA-content Borage seed oil (Borago officinalis) is clear and slightly thick with very little odor and is cold expeller pressed. Gamma linoleic acid (GLA) is an essential fatty acid that the body uses to manufacture prostaglandins (hormone-like substances that balance and regulate cellular activity). Borage is said to reduce the aging process of the skin and to reverse damage from ultraviolet rays. Many use this oil externally to treat PMS, endometriosis and menopausal discomforts, as well as psoriasis and eczema.
