Colloidal Oatmeal. This is a cosmetic grade oat protein (powder), GRAS and is a Category I Over-the-Counter Skin Protectant. Recommended uses: Cosmetic thickener, binder, high protein source for external use, also used in therapeutic soaps, baths and soaks.
Colloidal Oatmeal is the powder resulting from the grinding and further processing of whole oat grain meeting the U.S. Standards for Number 1 or Number 2 oats. Store in well-closed containers away from direct light, moisture and heat.
Aside from being used as an ingredient in the above-mentioned processes, Colloidal Oatmeal is highly recommended for itchy skin conditions including chickenpox, eczema and psoriasis.
